Reminds Us That Has Come a Love and Thunder Trailer

Marvel’s (and Taika Waititi’s) summer blockbuster showcases the ways in which Thor and his movies have evolved since the character’s 2011 MCU, Thor has always been a fighter. Ever since he arrived in the nascent Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2011’s Thor, few Marvel superheroes or villains have been worthier opponents on the battlefield than Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder. Over the course of three standalone features and four Avengers team-ups, though, Thor has lost his parents, his adoptive brother, his best friends, even his entire home world. Now, as a new queen watches over New Asgard, Thor is ready to hang up his cape and his enchanted ax, Stormbreaker, for good. After a long wait following 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, Thor is back in the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, which premiered on Monday. At a brisk 89 seconds, not much of the upcoming film’s plot is revealed during the teaser, but it’s filled with familiar faces, including one Asgardian god who’s prepared for some

Operation Romeo Movie Review a Romantic

Sidhant Gupta plays Aditya Sharma, who resides in the suburbs of Mumbai with his sister and mother. Neha Kasliwal, played by Vedika Pinto, is a student, engaged in a professional course. They’ve been in love and probably wish to take things to the next level. It’s date night and Neha’s birthday when they’re out on the town together. Just as they romantically cosy-up with each other, two men, Mangesh and Kiran (Sharad Kelkar and Kishor Kadam), posing as policemen, start harassing them for coochie cooing in a public parking lot. How the night takes a toll on Aditya and Neha’s relationship forms the rest of the narrative. The film, a plot-point-by-plot-point remake of the 2019-Malayalam movie 'Ishq Not A Love Story', uses a strained boy-girl relationship to talk about chauvinism, moral policing and difficult choices that one has to make without really holding out a placard for it. Even though the narrative plays out at a really slow pace, the performances, especially by Sharad K

Google’s third-party Cookie Alternative

The latest development in Google’s efforts to find a third-party cookie replacement involves the dropping of its FLoCs solution and the introduction of Topics. Both support interest-based advertising, but following privacy concerns around its cohort approach, Google has substituted a solution driven by browser activity and domain categorisation. Takeaways, As Google’s self-imposed deadline to cut third-party cookie targeting from the Chrome browser gets closer, the search to find a definitive replacement continues. The FLoCs interest-based targeting solution, formed around anonymous groups with common interests, has been killed off in the face of mounting privacy concerns. In its place, Google has introduced Topics, an ad targeting solution that remains focused on user interest, but instead of targeting ads against aggregated group data, it will rely instead on recent browser activity. Ads will be targeted according to user interest inferred from site visits and categorisation of domai

Victoria Justice and Adam Demos Falling in Love

Netflix has had a lot of success with their various romantic comedy offerings over the years. Films like Set It Up, Always Be My Maybe, and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before have been some of the best films to have been released in the modern genre. Now Netflix looks to continue that hot streak with A Perfect Pairing. This Australian rom-com stars Victoria Justice and Adam Demos and is set to release on the streamer in May. In preparation for this release, Netflix has dropped the first look at the film. The first of two images shows off the pair enjoying the Australian nightlife as they have some drinks in a log cabin in front of a fire. The other image sees Justice’s Lola seemingly out of her element in a sheep station while Demos’ Max laughs on behind her. The general plot of the film is as follows: “To land a major client, a hard-driving LA wine-company exec (Victoria Justice) travels to an Australian sheep station, where she ends up working as a ranch hand and sparking with a rugge

Everything Everywhere All at Once Expands

Load up your fanny pack, conceal your woodland creatures, accurately pay your taxes (no really, do actually pay your taxes... they're due on Monday), and then head down to your local multiplex because the critically-acclaimed multiverse hit Everything Everywhere All at Once is available for your viewing pleasure on nearly twice as many screens this weekend. After a limited run in major cities (only in 38 theaters as of two weeks ago), the film expanded nationally to 1,250 screens last weekend. But the massive upscaling didn't dilute the box office returns, earning the second-highest box office gross per screen of the week. As a result, A24 has nearly doubled Everything Everywhere All at Once's reach to 2,200 screens. The mind-bending multiverse action comedy has been a triumph of old-school word-of-mouth hype. It's a conceptually-heavy original property starring a 59-year-old Asian woman (Michelle Yeoh) and written and directed by a team of guys (Daniels, aka Daniel Kwa

Eric Dane on How He Prepared for Cal’s Intense Euphoria

Euphoria has a reputation for doing the most. It's depiction of teen angst is dialed up to 11, causing more than a few parents watching the show to panic just a little. But the messiest shenanigans of Season 2, Episode 4 didn't come from the show's young ensemble, but from one of their parents. Cal (played by Eric Dane) has long been the alpha dog of his community, but his machismo hides a lifelong struggle with his sexuality, which manifests as hook-ups with young gay men and trans women that he secretly films. His toxic masculinity has metastasized into his son Nate (Jacob Elordi), whose even more violent tendencies are rooted in his own struggles with sexual insecurity. This season, as Cal unravels on his warpath to retrieve a tape of his night with Jules (Hunter Schafer), the trans high school girl his son is secretly in love with, we're given a glimpse into his own youth in flashbacks. The summer before college, he and his best friend Derek begin to explore their f

Confident Than You Feel For When It Counts The Most

Confidence is powerful. It opens opportunities, and it creates trust by compelling people to trust you. It is the critical component that makes monumental moments go well in business. Unfortunately, most people's confidence cracks when it counts the most. When the pressure is on, most people's confidence flails, but it doesn't have to. Whatever next big moment you want to be more prepared for—be it a huge sales pitch, a meeting with your supervisor, an interview for your dream job or a speaking moment on stage—make sure that you prepare your confidence to be strong and ready to help you shine. Doubt Is Normal It's important to first note that to be confident, especially when it matters the most, you don't need to be 100% confident. In fact, it's normal for self-doubt to always be hanging around in some capacity, trying to push back on the mental space that your confidence needs and deserves. Just because you feel self-doubt doesn't mean that you're not c

Western Is Outer Range Than Weirder

The sci-fi Western on Prime Video has all the elements required to become the 2022 Yellowjackets. Much like Yellowjackets, Outer Range asks you to switch on your wild theory generator and set it to trippy sci-fi with odd cult-like symbols, characters with deteriorating mental states and a plot driven by a strong emotional core. It should be the next hit to slot into your viewing schedule. No stranger to the Western, Josh Brolin is immense as the patriarch of a cattle rancher family living among the mountain valleys of Wyoming. A grandfather figure, rather than a fit middle-aged cowboy, Brolin's Royal Abbott just about manages his family's established ranch. His biggest concern: the West Pasture, where a mysterious presence has disturbed the wild buffalo herds into a frenzy. Everything hinges on a discovery Royal makes there early on. It brings surreal visuals followed by a huge tease, almost in the vein of Yellowjackets' opening gambit showing us a starkly different view of
